London Shell Co serve delicious British seafood alongside the finest wines. A true dining experience, dishes are served aboard ‘The Prince Regent’, a historic barge moored in Paddington. With menus updated daily, guests can be sure of a fresh, locally sourced meal served by a fabulous crew. We were tasked with capturing the unique flavour and vibe of the brand through visual identity, website design, menus and newsletter templates.

When working with London Shell Co, we were immediately inspired by the nautical theme with the luxe addition of fine dining and wines. We emulated this theme throughout the visual identity, with illustrative details to add a touch of hand-rendered charm and informality. Pared-back typography and minimal copy on the website allowed the mouth-watering food photography to take centre stage.

It was imperative that the website could be easily managed and updated so we chose to host the site on WordPress. We customised it with a bespoke twist in the form of custom plug-ins built specifically for London Shell Co. Users can easily book meals, buy vouchers and sign up to newsletters with a simple click.

Following the huge success of London Shell Co, we were thrilled to be invited to work with them once again on their newly launched restaurant, The Grand Duchess. To bring the ethos of the Grand Duchess to life, we created a unique logo and library of illustrations drawn from ornate Victorian engravings of sea life and other curiosities. These distinctive motifs embellish the website, menus and improvised notices.

To launch the Grand Duchess’ debut sparkling wine label, we concocted an illustration using a Gourami fish complete with trumpet fanfare! We chose a colour palette of pastel peach and mint to align with the boat’s fresh interior style.
